General Information
Your privacy is important to Summit Christian Center. So we've developed a Privacy Policy that explains how we use and store your information. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our privacy practices and let us know if you have any questions.
Collection and Use of Personal Information
Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person.
When creating or using your iAccount we use a standard SSL Certificate, which encrypts sensitive information during online transactions. Whether you are signing up for an event, giving, or purchasing resources, Summit Christian Center always secures these features with the SSL Certificate.
We collect your personal information and store securely in our database. This information is used for business at Summit Christian Center and is never shared or released to outside agencies, churches, or companies.
What personal information we collect
When you create an iAccount, register for an event, purchase a resource, signup for a class, we may collect a variety of information, including your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and credit card information.
Summit Christian Center does NOT store any personal credit card information. We use the Authorize.Net Customer Information Manager (CIM), which stores customers' sensitive payment information on their secure servers, simplifying our compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) as well as the payments process for returning customers and recurring transactions.
If your are a member or prospective member of Summit Christian Center we may send you email or mail correspondence about upcoming events or important announcements. You can opt out anytime by contacting us. We respect your privacy.
Cookies and Other Technologies
Summit Christian Center iAccount service only uses cookies to remember your username for faster input. Our goal in this case is to make your experience with iAccount more convenient. No other information is stored locally on a user's computer. All other collected information is stored on our secure server.
Protection of Personal Information
Summit Christian Center takes precautions - including administrative, technical, and physical measures - to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
Summit Christian Center's iAccount uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is collected. You must use an SSL-enabled browser such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Internet Explorer. Doing so protects the confidentiality of your personal information while it's transmitted over the Internet.
When using your iAccount, we strongly suggest that you log out each time to keep your personal information private.
Integrity and Retention of Personal Information
Summit Christian Center makes it easy for you to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date. We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Access to Personal Information
You can help ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by logging in to your iAccount. Summit Christian Center reserves the right to cancel your iAccount if there's no activity over a period of time or if any required information is incomplete or inaccurate.
Background Checks
Summit Christian Center is authorized to run secure background checks for ministries or events that require them. You will always be prompted if we need a background check and can opt out of completing the online form. Background checks require date of birth and social security numbers. We collect these through our SSL Socket; however, social security numbers are never stored on our secure servers.
We use a third party to run a background check. Backgrounds are submitted electronically and stored off site on our secure server.
Children ages 11-18 who desire to serve in a ministry or event that requires a background check will also need to submit their date of birth and social security number. Before any background check is run for a minor, we must receive parent permission.
Privacy Questions
If you have any questions or concerns about Summit Christian Center's Privacy Policy or data processing, please contact us.
Summit Christian Center reserves the right to update its Privacy Policy to better serve its members.
