Primary Pastoral Care (PPC)

God wants you and your family to experience wise counsel and loving care from others. It's Summit 's goal to provide each member with quality care God desires. When you sense God is giving you a connection with a particular PPC Leader, ask that person if he/she would be willing to offer you primary pastoral care. Fill out an agreement form and submit to the church. The Responsiblity of PPC includes providing prayer, encouragement, and care. Also guidance in areas of stewarship, destiny and maturity.

Begin to build a relationship with one of the men or women recognized as PPC to find out who they are. There is a list of them available to you.

HOW TO BECOME A PPC
If you provide care for others at Summit Christian Center OR if you are interested in building caring relationships, consider participating in our PPC Training Course. To participate you will commit to completing 14 one-hour Core Truths. Recommendation by a group leader or department head is required as well.

Training topics include:
Vision, Benevolence & Crisis, Joined to the Leader, The Call of God, Relationship with God, Anger Management, Prayer, Hearing God, Hearing Others, Gifts of the Spirit, How Do We Respond to Tragedy, How to Handle Offenses, Faith, Forgiveness, Identity, Boundaries, Character Change, Covenant, Kingdom of God, Grace, The Infilling of the Holy Spirit, Physical Healing, How to Share Your Faith, Principle of First Things, Water Baptism and Rick Godwin's Flying Higher: Seven Keys to Making Godly Choices; [“God’s Guidance System"]
